NEW Service: Professional Painting and Application of Decorative Finishes
Exceptional paints and finishes, applied the way they deserve.
Through its partnership with House of Orren, Pigment & Co connects clients, architects and interior designers with a specialist premium painting and decorative finishes service for residential interiors, villas, apartments, commercial spaces and hospitality projects that require more than conventional painting.
The Art of Interior surfaces
House of Orren is specialised in interior surfaces, mineral systems and the technical application of premium paints. Pigment & Co supplies the curated paint systems and colour expertise; House of Orren provides the specialist application.
This service is designed for clients who want a superior result: colour depth, texture, durability, low VOC systems, aesthetic coherence and a carefully managed application process from start to finish.
More than painting walls
Painting a home, apartment, villa or commercial space is a genuine opportunity to raise both the value of the space and the way it’s experienced.
The final result depends on the reading of the space, the preparation of the surfaces, the choice of the right system, the behaviour of natural light, the quality of the paint and the experience of the applicator.
That is why this service combines three areas of expertise:
Premium paint curation
Pigment & Co’s curation of premium paints.
Specialist application
House of Orren’s specialist application.
The right system
The selection of colour, mineral and decorative systems suited to each project.
The objective is simple: to create interior surfaces with character, depth and permanence.

The paints behind the service
Pigment & Co selects the paints. House of Orren applies them:
-
Farrow & Ball
-
Little Greene
-
Paint & Paper Library
-
Pure & Original
-
Mylands
-
Kalklitir
These brands are chosen for their colour depth, material quality, sophisticated finishes, durability and carefully developed formulations for contemporary interiors.
Where the project calls for it, the specification favours low VOC paints, breathable systems, mineral or plant-based formulations, selected pigments and finishes designed to age naturally.
The Orren System
House of Orren works with its own specialist application method, designed to ensure technical performance, aesthetic coherence and long-term durability.
Conventional painting
- Plastic-based products
- Flat finish
- Standard solutions
- High VOC systems
- Fast application
- Uniform result
The Orren System
- Mineral and plant-based systems
- Material depth
- Selected systems
- Lower-impact solutions
- Specialist application
- Surfaces with character
What you do not see is often the most important part: surface preparation, the right primer, drying times, compatibility between substrate and paint, the way light interacts with the finish and the surface’s ability to preserve its expression over time.
The House of Orren process
Every project follows the same sequence:
-
Reading the space
House of Orren analyses natural light, architecture, materiality, context, use of the space and aesthetic intention.
-
Defining the system
The right system is selected for the surface, the desired finish and the required technical behaviour, drawing on Pigment & Co’s colour and product expertise.
-
Sampling and validation
Where needed, samples, panels, textures and colour transitions are prepared for your approval before final application.
-
Controlled application
The application is carried out with technical preparation, protection of non-paintable areas, on-site coordination and respect for drying times.
-
Orren handover
At the end of the project you receive a final report with the exact paint references used and, where applicable, post-project support through Orren Care.
Typical project timeline
Each project is assessed individually, but a typical intervention in a 100 m² apartment may take approximately 4 to 5 days.
-
Day 1
Preparation
Protection of non-paintable areas, surface preparation, sanding and pre-paint cleaning.
-
Day 2
Primer
Application of the correct primer for the surface and minimum drying time.
-
Day 3
First coat
Application of the first coat and minimum drying time.
-
Day 4
Second coat
Application of the second coat and minimum time before circulating in the space.
Some projects may require a third coat. Full curing may take up to 14 days, depending on the system applied, the conditions of the space and the paint selected.
Service levels
Orren
For apartments, villas, studios and commercial spaces with structurally stable surfaces.
Includes technical assessment, surface preparation, specialist application, detailed proposal and final project report.
Orren Atelier
For projects with high technical, architectural or heritage requirements.
Suitable for unique surfaces, specialist finish systems, mixed substrates, architecture-led interiors, hospitality spaces and contexts requiring an approach developed specifically for the project.
How your project is assessed
Before a proposal is issued, House of Orren assesses:
- Type of property.
- Usable floor area and effective paintable surface.
- Condition of the surfaces.
- Existing issues such as cracks, damp, stains or unstable substrates.
- Type of paint or finish required.
- Need for primer, preparation, sanding or repairs.
- Project complexity.
- Desired timeline.
- Level of support required.
The investment is calculated according to the effective intervention surface — walls and ceilings — rather than the usable floor area of the home. As a reference, a home with 100 m² of usable floor area may normally represent around 350–400 m² of paintable surface.

Request an assessmentThe difference is in the surface
A good interior paint project is not measured only by the colour selected.
It is measured by the way the wall receives light, by the depth of the finish, by the absence of marks, by the transition between surfaces, by resistance to use, by the way it ages and by its coherence with the architecture or interior design concept.
This is where specialist application makes the difference.
The invisible benefit
Low VOC
Better indoor air quality and lower odour during and after application.
Mineral surfaces
More natural wall breathability and a more authentic material presence.
Selected pigments
More organic light reflection and greater colour depth.
Durable systems
Lower maintenance requirements and greater long-term stability.
Specialist application
Greater depth, longer permanence and a more refined final finish.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a premium painting service cost?
The Orren service has a reference price of €17/m² + VAT. Paints are not included. Projects with higher technical or architectural requirements are assessed under Orren Atelier.
Is the price calculated according to the floor area of the home?
No. The calculation is based on the effective surface to be painted, meaning walls and ceilings. A home with 100 m² of usable floor area may represent around 350–400 m² of paintable surface.
Are the paints included in the price?
No. Paints are supplied by Pigment & Co and selected according to the system defined for the project.
Which paint brands can be used?
Any of the brands Pigment & Co carries: Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Paint & Paper Library, Pure & Original, Mylands and Kalklitir.
Is the service interiors only?
The focus is specialist application for interiors, decorative finishes and mineral systems. Exterior projects or special interventions are assessed case by case.
Does the service include colour advice?
Yes. The service may include colour guidance, system definition and validation through samples or panels.
How long does the work take?
It depends on the area, the condition of the surfaces and the system selected. As a reference, a 100 m² apartment may require around 4 to 5 days of work, with a third coat required in some cases.
What happens if there is damp or cracking?
Active issues are assessed during the technical visit and reflected in the proposal. The quality of the result depends on the stability of the surface before application.
What is Orren Care?
Orren Care is post-project support designed to help preserve the surfaces, maintain colour continuity and support any future maintenance needs.
