Pitch Blue is a rich cobalt shade with a hefty dose of black pigment – hence the name. This gives it an indigo appearance that can seem almost purple in certain lights, and it really comes to life in south-facing rooms when teamed with the bright All White. For an altogether different, more restrained feel, try it in a darker room, or one mostly used in the evening.

Paint Blackened No. 2011
Blackened is the Farrow & Ball white with the coolest undertones. Its hint of grey would have traditionally come from 'lamp black' pigment made from residual soot from burning oil lamps – hence the name. It creates a minimal, contemporary feel, and can look especially at home in an industrial-style scheme.
