Perpetual Blue is a Little Greene blue paint of mid-to-deep weight, a step deeper than Celestial Blue from the same palette, with a touch of green in it that shifts as the light changes through the day. The colour comes from a painter's palette that Churchill left behind in his studio at Chartwell, his Kent home. Sir Winston was a devoted amateur painter who held that painting was good for the mind, and liked to say he meant to spend a fair part of his first million years in heaven doing exactly that. Ceviche, a Little Greene white, lightens it. Tuscan Red, from the same palette, warms it.
